Here are few photos from the opening reception at the recent Elmhurst Art Museum - Summer Members’ Show. This eclectic exhibition will be up and running to July 16. As a contributing watercolorist, I have to emphasize how wonderful it was to meet so many local art lovers and discuss some of the inspiration behind my work. ... what else is art for than to share and discuss with other passionate artists, art lovers and buyers? While the production of art can be necessarily isolating, up all hours at night trying to realize an idea, the presentation of that idea to an audience brings it into the public sphere, and giving the artist more meaning to the piece or collection on display.
